Study of Hospital Uncovers 'Alarming' Omission of PT Recommendations From Discharge Orders

August 12, 2015: Researchers analyzing data from “a large academic hospital with a chronic stroke center” have found that physical therapist (PT) recommendations for patients transitioning to subacute care facilities are being omitted from discharge orders at rates of 54%-100%, depending on the type of PT recommendation.
