Study: Location Differences, Disproportionate Burdens Among PT Copay Problems

June 29, 2015: The amount of out-of-pocket (OOP) expenses a patient may be expected to pay for an episode of physical therapy is likely to vary not only depending on where the patient lives, but on a number of demographic factors, according to a new study. In addition to these variations, the study says, the payment burden is not equally distributed, with 25% of patients who incurred OOP expenses accounting for 75% of all expenditures.
