New data now
available from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) seem to
back up allegations that many skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) are inappropriately
using “ultra-high” (RU) and “very high” (RV) rehabilitation
categories to increase their payments—and improve their bottom lines.
